Creating Your Painting

Now we’re going to start working on a painting.
This painting can be on canvas, board or thick paper. It helps if your surface can hold lots of paint (like canvas) so you’re not afraid of layering.

FAQs

Q Do I need any painting skills to do this course?

No, but you do need a desire to paint. Previous painting experience might help with things like mixing colour, but sometimes a new artist, with no experience, is able to create a truely unique style. Whatever stage you're at, there is always room to learn and grow, and I can help with that.

How does this course work?

This course outlines some basic points about painting in abstract. It includes a few tasks and exercises, then get's you started on your own painting. It includes a practical process and some tricks and tips.
It's not prescriptive, so you will be encourages to paint in your own style, rather than sticking to a formula.

How old do I need to be to do this course?

I would imagine anywhere from 13 upward. It's designed for adults, but I'm sure that teenagers will benefit from it too.

I've done your other course - is this the same?

This course is more practical, less of the inner work and mindfulness, more of the basics. There might be some small areas of overlap, but they're quite different.

How long will the course take?

Some people might finish it in a day, others might take it slow over a few days. The great thing is, once you've bought it, you can take as long as you like and come back to it whenever you want.

What materials do I need?

The materials are listed in a previewed section of the course.
